    ​Sheri Pentecost is passionate about literacy, learning and curriculum. Over the past 37 years, her experience spans from district elementary language arts supervisor, grant coordinator, literacy coach, elementary classroom teacher, elementary special education teacher, middle school reading/writing teacher and college education adjunct. As the elementary language arts supervisor, she implemented balanced literacy practices and design curriculum around Understanding by Design in a large suburban district.

     She continues to provide on-site professional development and coach teachers, model lessons in the classroom and coach administrators developing best literacy practices and effective curriculum across Texas. She believes that educators must be responsive to the literacy needs of our students for them to become the leaders of tomorrow. Sheri has a doctorate in Reading Education from Texas Woman’s University, as well as a M.Ed. in Elementary Education from University of North Texas and her Principal Certification. She received her B.A. from Arizona State University in Elementary and Special Education. Sheri lives in Coppell, Texas and enjoys spending time with her family.
