As an educator for 22 years, I have experience as a first, second, and third grade classroom teacher, a pull-out small group reading teacher with K-2, I was a campus instructional specialist for 4 years and I served as district instructional specialist for 8 years. All of my experience has been in Killeen ISD. My undergraduate degree was obtained at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1998 and in 2007 from Tarleton State University-Central Texas I received my Masters in Educational Administration. Literacy continues to be a passion that I love to share with others. I absolutely love to see students who struggle come to life as readers and writers and I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to share with teachers not only from my district but from other districts as well. I live in Central Texas with my honey and have a loving family that I adore.
