My passion and expertise are in all things literacy. My career expands over 28 years in education. I was a classroom teacher for twenty-one years, Kindergarten-3rd grade. For the last seven years, I have been an Instructional Coach in Frisco ISD for an Elementary campus. I have partnered with district coordinators, campus administrators, and classroom teachers, implementing research-based instructional strategies in reading and writing. I empower teachers to use best practices to increase student achievement and engagement through hands-on learning. I have coached teachers through the planning process of unpacking the state standards and analyzing student data to drive instructional practices.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have two children and a son-in-law. We enjoy spending time outdoors, watching baseball, and traveling with close friends.
