 Miriam Williams, M.Ed., has built her 23 year career as an educator serving low-performing schools. As an Educational Consultant, she has a successful track record of improving the quality of teaching and learning throughout every facet of school improvement.Ms. Williams began her career as a middle school ELL teacher and rose through the educational ranks of assistant principal and principal in multiple settings including elementary and secondary schools. Her background includes charter schools as she was the district manager for 47 public charter schools. Ms. Williams has extensive experience in school transformation and building the capacity of focused learning teams. She facilitates core curriculum workshops, literacy coaching, personalizing learning through rigor and relevance, implementation of Readers and Writers Workshops in dual language schools, supporting literacy intervention programs including resources for emergent and early literacy. Ms. Williams conducts executive coaching and leadership development for dual language schools as well as student-centered coaching and teacher mentoring. Ms. Williams received a BA in English and Psychology from Palm Beach Atlantic University, West Palm Beach, FL and her graduate degree in Educational Leadership from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida. She is fluent in Spanish and Haitian-Creole and resides in Plano, TX with her beloved miniature beagle, Bebe.
