Shelly Wendt is an accomplished educational leader and consultant with over 30 years of experience in the field of education, specializing in program development, curriculum design, and instructional leadership. Shelly is dedicated to fostering educational excellence and driving student success through innovative solutions and data-driven practices. She is currently completing her Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Liberty University, with an anticipated graduation in December 2025.
Shelly holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Her certifications include Texas ASCD Curriculum Leadership, K-12 Instructional Leadership, Principal Certification, and Professional Development Specialist, as well as being a Bilingual/ESL Specialist for grades 1-12. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she effectively communicates and collaborates with diverse educational communities.
Throughout her career, Shelly has developed extensive expertise in creating and implementing curriculum programs, Bilingual/Dual Language programs, high performing PLCs, assessment for learning, data driven instruction, PBIS, classroom management, first year teachers, instructional coaching as well as leadership coaching. She excels in designing and facilitating professional development sessions tailored for PreK-12 educators, focusing on instructional excellence. Shelly is proficient in data analysis, utilizing insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement in educational practices.
On a personal level, She has a wonderful husband who is also in education and together they share six wonderful children whose ages range from 13 to 33 years old. Shelly has a passion for reading, traveling, learning about new people, cultures and cuisines.
